Petopia was inspired by my furry
babies, Chloe, Evee and Kirby.
It was also partly fueled by the guilt that I
felt whenever I had to leave my pets alone for
the day. It made me want to create a solution
for pet parents so that they can have peace of
mind knowing that their companions were happy
and safe.
I think I was born an animal
lover. As a child, I was surrounded by pets and
had the great opportunity to learn firsthand how
dogs were raised at my aunt’s farm. I still
remember those carefree days spent with those
bouncing puppies. I was fascinated with all types
of animals, especially dogs, and wanted to learn
about each breed and their characteristics. It
was my childhood dream to one day live in a house
full of dogs and cats.
After pursuing a business degree,
I worked as a marketing analyst for three years.
But deep inside, I wanted nothing more than to
devote my time and energy to my four-legged friends.
The wagging tails and looks of contentment had
more meaning in my life than any company bonus
or promotion. So one day I decided to use my knowledge
and experience to create a place that is perfect
for pet parents and their children. It is personally
rewarding to know that I can offer you and your
pets an experience that not only promotes your
pet’s well-being, but also
enriches the bond you share with them.
My
Babies
Chloe
was rescued from a shelter 7 years ago. She has
proved to be a wonderful companion throughout
the years. Chloe’s favorite pastimes, like
most cats, are sleeping, purring and rubbing up
against you. She has also mastered the art of
demanding food whenever she feels like and sneaking
into places she shouldn’t be. We have also
recently potty trained Chloe on the toilet, which
never ceases to amaze our family and friends.
Evee,
my Miniature Schnauzer, is the sweetest and most
lovable dog there is – but I’m sure
that is how everyone sees their own dog. At age
2, she is still a big puppy and has the energy
and nature to prove it. There are four things
that Evee loves; food, me, all people and animals,
and a nice run in the park. She would do anything
for treats, which definitely helps in training
her for agility. I hope to compete in agility
trials with her one day.
Last but not least, there’s
Kirby – and just like how
the name sounds, he’s one big silly goof.
With his fluffy white coat and cute expression,
Kirby is often mistaken for a female Coton de
Tulear. At age 1 and a half, he’s already
grown accustomed to the constant attention and
petting he receives from everyone. Kirby’s
favorite things include tummy rubs, a good game
of catch and wrestling with his big sister, Evee.
