Petopia’s puppy daycare service is a great way for puppies to socialize and interact with other dogs of similar age. Puppies need to be exposed to new experiences and situations during the critical age of 8 wks to 20 wks to ensure that they grow up to be well-adjusted adult dogs. While you are busy at work all day, we can help housetrain young puppies, get them through teething without destruction, and give them critically important socialization with other puppies and nice dogs.
Our puppy daycare program is structured so that your fur baby can learn how to be a good dog in a safe, secure and loving environment. Puppies can enroll in puppy daycare as young as 8 weeks old if they have their first set of shots and have a negative fecal exam. Our puppy room is located away from the other playrooms so that the puppies are not exposed to the adult dogs.
Here are some features of our puppy daycare program:
- Clean and safe playroom just for puppies age 8 weeks to 20 weeks
- Plenty of play and exercise with other friendly puppies
- Socialization to different people (men, women, uniformed people, children, etc)
- Lots of toys to play with – teaches puppies to share
- Schedule nap times on comfy beds as growing puppies need lots of sleep (if you are crate training your dog, we would be happy to have him or her rest in the crate during nap time)
- Positive reinforcement training to learn basis commands (i.e. sit, stay, down, leave it, watch, etc)
- Handling and grooming exercises
- Regular outdoor potty breaks to promote housetraining
- Special potty system that stimulates outdoor grass
- Access to fresh water
- Constant love and attention
Puppy Daycare provides an excellent start for your pup to grow up to be a well-socialized and well-adjusted canine companion. However, as responsible pet parents, you still have to ensure that you socialize your puppy to as many different situations and environments as possible outside of daycare.
