When we met with Pat from Petopia to arrange puppy visits for our 10-week old miniature D achshund, Ripley, we were pleasantly surprised by the professional, organized manner in which she did business. She conducted a detailed in-depth interview and collected all the right information about us and our puppy. We were impressed by her training b ackground and her dedication to pets and pet care.

The well-designed web site and the reasonable introductory rates attr acted us initially, but the daily puppy reports she left after e ach visit plus the training and socialization she performed kept us as satisfied customers. I highly recommend Petopia. Petopia has provided us with reliable, high-quality pet care and our little bundle o' joy is one happy, healthy, frisky dog.

As a pet owner and lover it is incredibly hard to leave part of your family at home for pleasure or work. You worry that a pet caregiver won't take care of your pets the way you do - that the pets won't be played with or feed properly. That's where Petopia has been a life saver. We have two little dogs, two cats and a small school of fish. Quite a full house and they are very spoiled.

We grilled Pat the owner of Petopia about her company and how our pets would be taken care of - she held up very well! Pat is responsible and you very much get the sense that she cares about animals. The true test was when Pat met everyone and our shyest pet, Kiku, went right up to her. Score one for Petopia! We gave her the pets’ schedule, likes and dislikes and went on our first trip.

When we came home our house looked fantastic, and the pets were very happy. What a relief! Pat left lots of notes which filled us in on our fur group’s everyday activities. We have used Petopia several times and have been so happy with the service. We would recommend Petopia to everyone!

I started using the services of Petopia when I was traveling for business or on v acation. I used to ask a friend to come in e ach day when I was away but it seemed too much of an imposition if I had to be away for several days. Then one of my cats started needing daily medication and that’s when I decided I needed a better solution.

I found Petopia through their website and was very impressed with the quality of their presentation as well as their competitive prices. When I called, Pat was quick to respond and very accommodating. She came over to meet me and my cats and she spent a couple of hours reviewing her services, playing with Sunshine and Shadow, and going over her forms. I was very impressed with her thoroughness and felt very comfortable about leaving my little guys in her care.

I have used Petopia’s v acation pet visits mostly. At my request, Pat sends me daily email reports to let me know how they are doing. That way I know for sure that they are fine and I can relax knowing they are well cared for. I’d recommend Petopia to anyone who wants to be sure their furry family is well cared for when they can’t be there to do it themselves.

I have never had such worry-free holidays as I have while using Petopia's services. The professionalism, and the extra-touches that you know you're pets are going to receive while you're away really gives you pe ace of mind. I have three particularly badly behaved cats (one has a bad habit of not using the litter-box when we're out of town). They would have to be real animal-lovers to look after these kitties! Not only do they spend time playing with them, but they leave detailed accounts of the days activities. Petopia has also always been available whenever we have needed someone to look after them while we're abroad - they are very flexible in terms of accommodated our schedules. I am always confident that my pets are being very well looked after.

Our big, beautiful ‘beast’ (Shepard/Husky mix) Scooter came into our lives eight months ago. He was traumatized by the loss of his caregiver. He had never been trained, on a leash, or in the company of other people or dogs. The early months (starting with getting him on a plane and moving him into the city) were stressful – he had separation anxiety, chased cars and thought himself to be “King.” Just when we thought we re ached a point of helping Scooter get over his separation anxiety we had to go away for a few days and feared that our absence would send him b ack to his anxiety-ridden moments of being left alone. We didn’t want to put him in a kennel. Thankfully we were blessed with Petopia. Pat stayed in our home, providing Scooter with the comfort of being in familiar surroundings and the exercise and attention he needed. It was a huge relief knowing that Scooter was being taken care of while we were away.

When we first met Pat she put us at ease right away with her personable manner, professionalism and genuine concern for Scooter. Meeting her also helped erase any thoughts of concern over having her, then a complete stranger, in our home. From the start, we have been impressed with Pat and Wilson of Petopia. Scooter enjoys his routine walks with Wilson and we especially love reading the little report cards. My husband and I have chaotic schedules and there is great comfort in knowing that Scooter is receiving mental stimulation, exercise, love and care while we are at work. He is happier, than he has ever been. We would highly recommend (and have already) Petopia’s services!

I initially came across Petopia from a sign at a local pet shop. Upon visiting their website I was impressed with the professionalism exhibited. Petopia’s website includes forms, which covered everything from your pet’s medical history to your pet’s favourite playtime activity. After completing my request for care for my cat, I received a prompt reply requesting a time for a meeting at my convenience. Pat came to visit me, and introduced herself to my cat Charmer. While I was gone for 10 days, Pat looked in on Charmer twice a day. I was pleasantly surprised on my return to find that Pat had completed a daily log of her visits giving me a glimpse of what Charmer was up to, covering his eating habits each day to his mood. In addition, Pat took a wonderful photo of Charmer which she laminated and left for me, and I now carry with me in my purse. While Charmer was very happy to see me, he didn’t give me the cold shoulder, which let me know that he was well looked after. All in all, I was very pleased with Petopia’s services and I will definitely use them again on my next trip away. It gives me great piece of mind to know that Charmer can stay in his own home and be cared for while I’m away. I would highly recommend Petopia to anyone!

I have had the pleasure of using Petopia’s dog walking service for several months now. A friend of mine researched the dog-walking options prior to our holiday and came up with Petopia. I looked at their web site and was impressed with it. Pat came to our house for an interview and to meet our dog – Bailey. When we came b ack from holiday and cancelled the dog-walking services Bailey began to sulk and we quickly came to a conclusion that she was missing her newly found friends. Petopia is now b ack and Bailey is a happy, happy dog.

When first talking to Pat I was impressed with her maturity and her commitment to the business. It is very evident that a lot of thought goes into planning and ensuring that the service meets their high standards. And high there are. After e ach walk Bailey gets a report card with pertinent information. This becomes particularly important if she runs into another dog. We definitely want to know how she re acts to other animals, children, adults, etc

We are most impressed with the services of Petopia. The walkers are punctual, extremely polite and considerate and most accommodating. I truly have no reservation in highly recommending them!

Getting a pet sitter was top of our priority list when we adopted Wellington, a lab-husky cross, in August 2004. My husband and I work irregular hours, and I occasionally have commitments that keep me out of the house from morning till late at night. With Petopia, we know that we're getting sitters who are qualified dog trainers and, most importantly, have genuine affection for Wellington. And Petopia is flexible enough to be there when we need them, which includes occasional evening visits. We always come home to a calm puppy and an undamaged house on the days that Petopia has been around. And we know from the progress reports the sitter leaves that Wellington is learning commands and good manners along with getting TLC. We're looking forward to a long relationship with Petopia as Wellington grows up.
